Fine. I didn't find this. Someone else did while surfing online. But I claim credit to blogging it first haha.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have lots and lots to say about DramaFeste. But I have no time to blog about it. This is a promise to myself that I will blog about it. I WILL.
My time management sucks. Haiz. Wanted to type newspaper articles as well as do Econs concept map on top of doing the econs and math tutorials. But end up doing none. Oh well, at least I managed to finish the math assignment..and a teeny bit of econs. That's good. Haha.
OH! And I bought a CLEO magazine today! Inside there's one advertisement which inspired me something. Might change blog layout! haha. Years since I last did my own layout..hee~ But that will have to wait till after common tests probably. I still haven done that avatar I said I would do..hmm..
Okie! Sleep!~ Striving not to sleep too late everyday. Managed before 10pm a couple of times even! yay!!! hurray!
Nice scented soap roses. Use it to wash your hands, in your shower, or sprinkle it in your bath for it to dissolve slowly. Red is rose-scented I believe. Not sure about the others. I'll ask my cousin. (I got the red one.)
and
Created a livejournal shop! haha. Not yet up though. Been wanting to do this for awhile. See if I can get rid of some stuff. It's http://elffly.livejournal.com/.
I realised I forgot to mention the really really cute vietnamese baby (with his mum and grandma) that we met when shuyi, abtzy, calvin, roger, kh, "junior of calvin" and I went for lunch at the airport. We helped them with their luggage and accompanied them to check-in. The little boy gave me and shuyi a kiss in the end! KAWAII!!!!!
A rather unproductive day today. Some physics (barely), a bit of econs, and that was it. Slept in too.
Oh! and erm, additions to my valentines day presents are the paper clay hearts yining gave me and a box of soap roses cousin gave me. Turned out that he's selling these soap roses back at his campus in China. I thought that they might be a good venture in Singapore, but I'll test the responses first. Photos and polls coming up! =))) Maybe if I can make it in time, I'll sell them at the Entre Bazaar at the end of this month. haha.
I couldn't find the digital camera to take those photos, so I ended up using my dad's DSLR. Which was bad. It's so damn difficult to use. But the photos are nice (with auto on obviously)! haha. Man...I really wanna learn photography. But maybe after As bah. See how. And dad's like super reluctant to let me touch that camera. It took me super long to convince him to let me even touch it. Random photos (other than the boxes of soap roses) include:
And many more which are too lousy and I'm too lazy to upload. Hee~
Sometimes, I resent being in RJ because guys from RI are all so pro. The proportion of super pro guys to the super pro girls is seriously off balance. Clarification: I just read Jared's blog again. Ugh. Why is everyone so pro. =(
Anyway, V'dae was ok. I received 4 roses! From Stacy, Eugene(Ho) and Waihan. Chocolates! From Stacy and Yicong. And after school, went DDR with Raphael and Roger. My DDR is hopeless. I failed like 90% of the time at Take 5 the next day. Oh well.
Take 5 on 15th Feb was nice. The main reason why it's better than last year's is probably due to the venue. Nothing can go wrong at a venue like the Pasir Ris Park. But my better experience with Take 5 this year may be because I'm not participating in anything this year..
Oh, and I baked cookies for Take 5. Or rather, tried to. More than half my attempts failed - completely black and burnt. The later half of the attempts succeeded somewhat. They're burnt to various degrees too, but they're edible. At least the people who tried them says that they're nice (somewhat) and they actually survived. Still alive. So yea.
I conclude that cookies are more difficult to bake than chocolate cakes. Baking shall be a new hobby! yay!
It sucks when you are QWERTY-handicapped, you are forced by circumstances to use a mac but there is no autohotkey-equivalent for mac. You end up looking stupid, typing at snails pace, hitting all the wrong keys each time you try to type faster, looking at the keyboard almost all the time (because the moment you look up you type nonsense) - basically, you look like a retard. Can someone please write the program to save me already. Urgh.
Anyway, I'm in the school library, waiting for the mac to finish importing the video of last year's MEP concert. (Royce reminded me of it again last night. Oh how I have been procrastinating. Shame on me.) And I only just realised that we have CNY holidays from tomorrow onwards (yes, retarded-ly slow l am).
(Side-track: I shall treat this as a QWERTY typing practice.)
Today, I realised how I've transformed from being terribly pessimistic to wonderfully optimistic, and then sink back into pessimism for most things. But is that bad? Optimism often brings about greater disappointment than pessimism, so if by cowering under the clock of pessimism you are actually protecting yourself from possible harm, is it actually bad? To avoid disappointment, to prevent yourself from getting hurt again...Those are basic human instincts, to enable survival as we grow into this increasingly brutal world. How often we wish we could go back into the innocent times, when most of us are spared from troubles and worries, harsh realities of achievements-based society, the ugly face of politics in every area of your life (be it workplace, cca, classroom, school, even friends. Even among friends, where you can relax, let yourself go and enjoy yourself...supposedly. Supposedly.) Emotional survival.
CNY! Finally. Yay.
My life is channelling between the realms of heaven and hell, but never on the middle Earth.
I'm a girl, who's normal most of the time, but weird otherwise. My nickname in primary school was blurqueen, which was upgraded to BBQ Bizzarely Blurqueen in Secondary 2 during Primary 6 class reunion. I have a huge variety of interests, so I end up being very poor in time management.
Friends, my brother and sisters, and my computer.
I take birthdays very seriously.
I love roses.
I love manga and anime.
