rambles

I really really really do hate blogger. It's just not the optimal tool to blog..But what to do? I only found out that my plan doesn't include the freedom to create databases, and I didn't have the time to phone the company to ask what I can do to add on databases. Sigh. Oh well, guess I'd have to endure this a little bit more.

In case you are reading this, THIS SITE IS NOT COMPLETED YET. That's just in case you couldn't see.

Oh how I miss blogging..Especially now that most of the performance tasks are over...Let's start with today.

World/Raffles Book Day Class Decor..
It went quite well..Basically, my class is doing some Terry Prachet book that I just can't remember the name...something on apoloclypse, with heaven and hell all that stuff in the modern context..sounds interesting. I might even read it one day.
Anyway, for our doors we are supposed to do half a globe on each door (paper mache) and have a heavens theme for the front and hell for the back.
Here comes the problem. I didn't have any qualms at all at first. But, afterwards, people seem to be so engrossed in painting the heavens that they just won't listen to me when I was trying to be serious and inform them we are one mahjong paper short for hell. hmph. I spent like 15 mins trying to get them notice but they were just deaf or something. So, I gave up. Just watch them paint. Honestly, one thing this class teaches me is to take things easy sometimes...these people...haiz..
Sidenote: They went impatient and the ingenious qianni splashed water over it and just paint-washed the mahjong paper. GREAT IDEA. the only problem was that the mahjong paper was super wet and dripping paint onto the school grounds. I'd be more then grateful to the prefects if they close an eye and not book us tomorrow...haha.

Chinese Opera
One of the best sessions ever, for me at least. I was in great shape, in the mood and not too tired. heh. But one bad news and one semi-bad news.
Bad news: XIU GOT RASHES and didn't come today. =( you know, it's like super coincidental but Xiu just can't make it to opera all the time. First, miscommunications. Then, when she finally came, practice was cancelled. And today, rash. sigh. Good thing she went through it last year..Or else she's missing a lot on top of a lot. Okay, you don't get what I mean. Fine.
Semi-Bad News:They are not going to let us put out HONG LOU MENG! =( Because...1) School wants something with educational value, 2)School doesn't want a full length show. You wanna know what I think? The reason they don't want a full length show is lack of funds. If that's the case, we can fund raise! I WANT HONG LOU MENG!!
But the other story they proposed - MA LANG HUA - is quite fine. Although it sounds boring at first, it's quite interesting in the middle (and sounded like a combination of enid blyton and snow white). So I guess it's not that bad. But 30 mins is simply too short! (30 mins coz we are sharing the show with several other schools, unless we do a full show) At least drag it till 50 mins or so mah...

Oh well, had my fill in blogging. Must go study. Been rushing PTs the whole of last week..Adieu! to whoever who bothered to read. I SWEAR I'LL GET A DATABASE SOON.

I'm a girl, who's normal most of the time, but weird otherwise. My nickname in primary school was blurqueen, which was upgraded to BBQ Bizzarely Blurqueen in Secondary 2 during Primary 6 class reunion. I have a huge variety of interests, so I end up being very poor in time management.
